Bulls wins close game against Blazers

Coby White scored 21 points and got a career-high 10 rebounds in Chicago’s 111-108 victory over Portland as a guest. For the Bulls, this is the fourth victory in their eighth game since the beginning of the season, while the hosts recorded their fourth defeat.

Otto Porter Jr. added 19 points and 13 rebounds for the winners, who are entering a four-game winning streak in their last five games. For the hosts CJ McCollum scored 26 points, including 6 three-pointers. Damien Lillard added 24 points and 9 assists.

The Blazers took the lead with more than 20 points at the start of the game, but the Bulls managed to turn around and take the lead. In the fourth quarter, Chicago equalized 91-91 with a 3-pointer by Porter, and 6:36 before the final siren Chicago pulled with 96-94 with another successful shot from the 3 points zone by Garrett Temple. The hosts reversed the result and with a triple by Carmelo Anthony took the lead with 100-98 before the Bulls rookie Patrick Williams equalized 4:12 before the siren.

Porter Jr. continued with a successful shot for 104-100. The chase continued until the last second, as Lillard reduced to 108-109 with a 3-pointer 5.7 seconds before the end. But two free throws by White gave the final victory for The Bulls.

The difference tonight was the better free throws percentiles, with Bulls making 15 from their 18 shots and Blazers missing 6 in their 17 chances. With just one home win Chicago are 11th with (4-4) in the Eastern Conference, while Portland recorded four defeats in seven games.
