Bulls demolish the Nets 118-95 on Monday

The Chicago Bulls certainly made their case for the season on Monday, after wiping the floor with the Brookly Nets at United Center 118 to 95. With their latest victory the Bulls are now 7-3 for the season with only two home losses out of six games.

Despite a massive effort by Nets star Kevin Durant, who netted 38 points for the night, strong overall defense by the Bulls ensured that the NBA will talk about Chicago today. DeRozan ended up being the top scorer for the Bulls with 28 points on Monday, Zach LaVine scoring 24 points and Vucevic got a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds. “Everybody put the work in. It’s just not us talking about it. It’s us doing all the physical things as well.”, DeMar DeRozan said after the game.

The game was somewhat even for the first three quarters, but in the final fourth, all Chicago players, especially the bench, came out and delivered. The Bulls ended the game with style, and outscored the Nets 42-17 in the final four to notch another “W” on their way to the playoffs, after suffering a terrible 30-16 second quarter. Dosunmu and Caruso were great of the bench and it was truly a team effort on Monday, something coach Billy Donovan should be very exited about.

On the opposite side, The Nets got another excellent performance from KD with his 38 for the night, but fells short on the team effort. LaMarcus Aldridge put in 19 points, but most of them were in the second quarter. Harden was shut down at United Center, scorring just 14 points.

The Chicago Bulls are playing the Mavericks on Wednesday at home.
